Renders of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip shows the device’s look and functions
2020 is proving a very promising year for creativity in smartphones. In particular, foldable smartphones are unwittingly calling the clamshell form factor return with entirely foldable displays. The next foldable smartphone was recently claimed to be Galaxy Bloom. However, it has now been said, that Galaxy Bloom is only a codename and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is the true name of the smartphone. Now the renders are shared by Letsgodigital based on previous leaked live images.
The Galaxy Z Flip seems to come with a UTG display or an Ultra-Thin Glass Display that is so thin that it can bend without cracking. The function of the hinge looks strikingly like that of the Galaxy Fold. On the right of the bottom section of the phone is a control key and on the right, there is a volume rocker on the top half. The key dual cameras and single LED flash are next to a small external display.
The smartphone will have a 6.7-inch flexible display, significantly larger than the 6.2-inch Motorola RAZR, with the same clamshell folding design. Galaxy Z Flip may be the first smartphone with foldable glass, while the plastic-based surfaces of a foldable mobile phone are used for the other foldable phones. The phone is said to be fitted with a punch-hole or an Infinity-O display that features a 10-MP camera sensor on the front. Although this makes the smartphone reliable and durable, it also raises the company’s product costs.
Rumoured that the clamshell bundles a Snapdragon 855 chipset coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Also supports some super-fast charging in dual battery configuration. One of them is said to have an estimated capacity of 900 mAh while the other is around 2000mAh. Z Flip will come with Android 10 out of the box. The Galaxy Z fold might be unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event next month, along with the Samsung Galaxy S20 series.
