New blurred background of Skype
Automatic background blur is adding to this week’s Skype video calls by Microsoft. This new feature allows you to blur your background on a call to remove the mess in your office or home. This feature is ideal if you’ve ever worked from home or in a busy café if your desire to remove distractions magically. This may help even in embarrassing circumstances, such as when children stop calling Skype on TV live.
The background blur feature was originally introduced in Microsoft Teams last year, and it is now available today in the latest Skype desktop versions. There is no word about whether the background will be blurred in mobile versions of Skype as well. It can be activated from Skype video call menu on a PC or laptop, either way. Microsoft says artificial intelligence is used to blur all about you and keep you as your main focus. Blur in the background should be detected by Skype hands, weapons and hair to ensure that your video call doesn’t blur the wrong parts.
